Participants are encouraged to bring any snacks and supplemental nourishment they may desire throughout the weekend. Dedicated breaks are added into each day, allowing you to honor your individual needs and nourish yourself as needed while remaining fully immersed in the training experience.
Our philosophy is simple: the most impactful teachers are those who have deeply experienced the practices themselves. By fully immersing in the rhythms of restoration, embodiment, and intentional living for several days, you'll gain not only knowledge, but a felt experience of the profound benefits these methodologies offer—allowing you to teach from a place of authenticity, confidence, and lived wisdom.
Accommodations:
This training is open to both yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who feel called to deepen their understanding of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and somatic-based movement practices.
Participants wishing to receive a teaching certification in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and ZenYasa must hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification through a Yoga Alliance-approved school.
For those attending for personal enrichment and a deeper understanding of these methodologies, we recommend having a consistent yoga practice and a solid foundation or exposure to yoga, particularly Yin and slower-paced styles of practice. Prior teaching experience is not required for non-teacher participants; however, an openness to self-inquiry, embodiment, and experiential learning is essential.
Upon successful completion of the training, eligible participants will receive a 50-hour Serenity Within Certification and Continuing Education Certificate.
To help establish a strong foundation prior to the immersion, participants are encouraged to read The Relaxation Responseby Dr. Herbert Benson and attend at least five Yin or Restorative Yoga classes, either in person or online. These experiences will help familiarize you with the pace, intention, and therapeutic qualities of the practices we will explore throughout the training.
